How will you know if a reconstructed clavicle is doing ok...besides asking your doctor for $25?

..had my left clavicle peiced back together with a plate and six screws. Im in a very laborous job but have been taking it easy. I, however, am always worried that something is going wrong inside (probably caused by a 2nd surgery i had to have due to the wound splitting open after the first). I have a plate and five screws, 3 on one side of the bone and 2 on the other. How will i know that something is going wrong (ie. bent plate, screws coming out, etc.). Will there be alot of pain if its going wrong?
