Ford explorer vs 98 jeep grand cherokee?

hello am wondering what you guys think about the 98 ford explorer V6 and 98 jeep grand cherokee V6. am about to buy one of this two, there my top two favorite looking (for me). am looking for space in the inside (which is more roomy) also gas i think there around the same on gas, any pros and cons i should be aware of. any one has had any experience with any of them or both... i live in long beach ca, so am not looking forward to drive in snow mountains etc (am not worry about that)... thanks you guys is going to be my first car so lots of help please thanks.
